Klopfenstein Art Equipment was started by two brothers, Jim and Bill Klopfenstein (shown on left) in the mid-late 1950’s. They were students at Ohio State University, both shared a creative bent, and had a natural engineering talent. Advice from one of their professors inspired them to create an easel that would last a lifetime.
Fast forward 70 years and a change in ownership - Klopfenstein still continues to produce lifetime quality products, following the Klopfenstein branding. Wherever possible we’ve minimized or completely eliminated the “Some Assembly Required” ordeal. In fact, well over half our painting & drawing equipment ships, “ready to go right out of the box”. The rest of our equipment assembles easily, with just 2-4 nuts and bolts in about five minutes or less. 👍
